Helping Hands Center
August of the year 1999, the doors of the Helping Hands Center opened up for the residents in the MHA community. The Helping Hands Center is a place filled with warmth, care, and a friendly atmosphere complete with plenty of hugs. This is also the Volunteer Center for those who want to volunteer there time and help others. It is coordinated and supervised by Judi Peffley. Volunteer service is a proven antidote for disconnection. Connecting with others and working together through volunteer service can bridge differences that separate people and help solve community problems. Remember, "when you stop giving and offering something to the rest of the world, it's time to turn out the lights."
Remember, we all have a second hand. The first one is to help yourself, the second is to help others.
